"Spanning over fifty years, A Brief History of America follows Sarah from childhood, through the care of an ailing step parent to where she must confront her love for her childhood sweetheart, Roberto. A Brief History of America is a play about immigration, love, loss and the true meaning of home." - Dipika Guha

Our production explored the attention of the average American on their history in relation to the country. We exist in a time where our personal misfortunes are more impactful than the historical events happening around us. To draw attention to the juxtaposition between the personal and the historical, we projected a video of American history onto the flag. The video below is an example of the transition from 1969-2009.
